Inkosana lodge is situated in the Champagne valley of the Central Drakensberg. The lodge is surrounded by 50 acres of grassland, the gardens are indigenous. There is a self-catering kitchen for preparation of light meals such as sandwiches and salads, barbecue facilities are located in lovely shady spaces with breathtaking views. The herb garden has a summer house. Ablutions are well equipped with hot water.

Meals and catering

We have recently installed a wood fired pizza oven, the cheesy focaccia breads are really good.

Breakfast consists of fruit, juice, yoghurt, cereals, porridge, homemade bead, muffins, jams, cheese.  Fried eggs, bacon or sausage, mushrooms or tomatoes. R110  Filter coffee is avsilable on order. R20

You will pay between R150 to R175 for a delicious home cooked Three Course Dinner.

Dinner is a Three Course set menu:  The starter is dependent on the weather (soup on a cold day) or samosas/chicken livers or the chefs choice.

Some of the main courses are:

Fillet steaks with sautéed veg on a bed of mash with the chefs favorite sauce.

Creamy butter chicken curry prepared the traditional North Indian style with a blend of cumin served with fluffy white basmati rice and condiments.

Fresh line fish slightly steamed and grilled to perfection with sautéed veg and fries with a creamy lemon sauce or chefs choice of sauce.

Traditional potjie with an array of fresh vegetables and bony beef cubes.

End your meal with a delicious dessert:

Traditional South African Malva pudding with creamy custard

Chefs favorite Apple Tart with a dollop of ice cream

Chocolate mud pie pudding
